Reading Hotels - The Malmaison Hotel, Reading, UKReading is a large town in southern England, ideally situated at the confluence of the River Thames and River Kennet, some 40 miles (64 km) west of London. It is just 24 miles (38 km) from London's main airport, Heathrow.

Reading has seen rapid expansion in its choice of both budget and luxury accommodation over the last few years.  Most of the UK's top hotel brands now have venues in the town, with Hilton opening in Spring 2009 and other hotels, including a new Holiday Inn at Winnersh, and a Radisson for the town centre, in the pipeline.

The local shopping centre, The Oracle, built in 1999, is named after the 17th century workhouse founded by John Kendrick which previously occupied the site. It provides three storeys of shopping and boosted the local economy by providing 4,000 jobs. Reading has pedestrianised Broad Street.
